Rialto Update

We are disappointed by EBSCO’s decision to remove the option for librarians to acquire their ebooks from Rialto. We remain committed to expanding the Rialto marketplace and supporting libraries as they navigate the impact.

What This Means For Libraries

Expanding The Rialto Marketplace

Rialto was built to empower libraries with a seamless, vendor-neutral, data-driven marketplace that integrates with their existing systems and supports diverse content providers.

We are expanding Rialto with new publisher, vendor and aggregator partnerships and enhanced content offerings. Over the last few months we have further invested in Rialto, and increased the content available; for a list of our vendors, see here. We expect to announce substantial new partnerships shortly – watch this space.

These new partnerships will offer improved options for libraries, as well as access to a broad and inclusive selection of titles. We welcome any organization interested in joining with us and Rialto to support the library community.

Rialto is the most innovative, advanced and comprehensive marketplace available for libraries, which is reflected in our roadmap. For clarity, we continue to offer Demand Driven Acquisition through Rialto, and much more.

Throughout this process, we’re working in close collaboration with the growing international Rialto community across 33 countries.
